Limewire, sharinging???

Limewire, sharinging???
limewire is a p2p application, and you should automaticly "seed" to other people. One way to tell this is to look at your upload area in your limewire application. if its uploading anything at all you are connected to a peer. Normally I use torrents/Utorrent because its much more reliable then limewire in terms of speed and content (less porn good or bad is undeterimed).

i cant remember how to tell if you're sharing on limewire but the way to stop sharing (if you are) is to go to your "share" folder, if that's where you selected to have the files downloaded and remove them from that folder completely.
Reply:In Limewire, click the "Monitor" tab along the top. That'll show you any files that you're currently uploading for someone else.

If you DON'T want to share anything, go to Tools-%26gt;Options. Click on the "Sharing" tab on the side, and remove any folders that are currently being shared.

Hope that helped.
Reply:once you have limewire up and running go into monitor and it will display uploads from you pc. Thes uploads also slow down your downloads. To block you upload ports, tools%26gt;options, then reduce all your up load ports to zero, including number of ports.
Reply:If others find out you're not sharing they will block you and you won't be able to download anything.
