Please help!!! IM SO SCARED!!?

Ok, I just recently made a myspace, no friends or anything yet. I'm just that kind of person that likes to know everything so I put up some gossips. I know that it was stupid and I regret everything. I put my display name as "Gossip Girl" and a ton of people frm school started adding me and messaging me. I don't think that there was any evidence of my name. Today, people started talking about it. The word got to a teacher and she said she would tell the district. I hurried home and deleted the myspace. I can't confess that it was me because other people would beat me up and I won't graduate! Can the district still hack into the account even though it was deleted? It says wait 48 hrs to delete. Can they see the home address [or ip address] of where the myspace logged in? I'm SO AFRAID, a harmless thing turned into this big mess! HELP!

There has to be LEGAL clearance to trace someone's IP address through Myspace - they will not cooperate with a crappy public school district, nor will the school district go that far.





The most they might do is encourage students to turn the "culprit" in if anything.








Don't worry about it - if the account is gone - they cannot get to it.

Reply:I agree with the others. Don't worry about it, it's highly unlikely they will do anything and if they do, they will need a court order. By the time they get one, your account will be gone.
Reply:MySpace holds all that information secretly. The district can't access it unless it legally got MySpace to give it to them. Unless you did something illegal, MySpace isn't going to give the district your information. If you did do something illegal then it would take a long time for them to go through the courts in order to force MySpace to give up your information.





They can trace your IP address but it doesn't say much. I see the IP reports everyday. Nothing that can lead to your doorstep.





The only real way I can see you getting caught is if you tell people.
Reply:well first of all u shouldnt of done somethin so stupid but anyways i dont think they can acutally do anythin to u cuz i t was outside of skool and its dumb for them not to let u graduate just bcuz u wrote about ppl like no one else does it! its just stupid so i dont think anythin will happen to u!
