Gmail Notifier for the Mac?

I've just bought a mac and I'm not really familiar with the program still. I attempted to install the Gmail Notifier and i got it to work...then when i shut down the computer and turned it back on it was gone and i had to re-install it.


Obviously i've done something wrong...





Could someone please give me step by step directions on how to install it, THANKS!!!!!!
