How do I deny a myspace request nicely?

I used to be friends with this guy but hes nothing but trouble. I stopped being friends with him after he kicked my @ss when we were both drinking. For the sake of him not calling me or comming by my house. I told him I was still cool with him but my wife doesnt like me hanging out with him. Anyways I havent talked to him in about a year and I want nothing to do with him. He requested me as a friend on myspace but I dont know how to deny him with out him getting pissed and mabey do something to my house or my family. What should I do?

There's no way to deny nicely, you could deny it and then send him a message explaining why, or you could just leave it so that you don't have to reply at all. If he asks why just say your myspace/internet isn't working!
